ISO 9001 Certified QualityA certified quality management system, from raw coil to finished shipment
Wuxi Zhongxin Special Steel operates under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Every coil is tested in-house against its grade specification before it ships, with a mill test certificate issued per coil rather than a generic grade average.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Real, current certificate — copies are available on request for your supplier qualification file. The certification covers our quality management system for the manufacture and supply of electrical steel products: document control, corrective action, and process consistency from incoming material to finished shipment.

What it actually means
Not just a logo on a datasheet
ISO 9001 doesn’t certify a product — it certifies the system that produces it. It governs document control, corrective action, and process consistency, so a coil made this month is held to the same checks as one made a year ago. In practice, that shows up as a mill test certificate traceable to the specific coil you receive, not a generic grade-average figure, and an annual surveillance audit that keeps the system honest rather than a one-time badge.
What we test
Every coil, tested before it ships
Standard parameters checked in-house against grade specification, referenced to the relevant GB/EN/JIS test method.
| Parameter | Method | What it confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Core loss (W/kg) | Epstein frame / SST | Energy lost per cycle at rated induction & frequency |
| Magnetic induction (T) | DC or AC permeameter | Field strength the material can carry before saturating |
| Thickness & lamination factor | Micrometer, stacking test | Dimensional consistency and effective steel fill in a core |
| Insulation coating resistance | Franklin tester | Interlaminar insulation quality, controls stray eddy loss |
| Mechanical properties | Tensile test | Yield strength for high-speed rotor applications |
Testing is performed in-house; a mill test certificate covering these parameters ships with every order. Third-party verification can be arranged on request — see the CRGO and CRNGO product pages for grade-specific figures.
In the lab
Where the testing happens
Real photos from our in-house test lab and production floor.
Core loss testing
Epstein Frame Test
Every batch is checked against its grade’s core-loss and induction specification before release.
In-house test lab
Test Laboratory
In-house lab covering core loss, induction, coating and mechanical testing on every production batch.
In-process inspection
In-Process Inspection
Coils are checked at multiple stages, not just at final test, to catch deviations before they compound.
From coil to certificate
How a mill test certificate gets issued
Every certificate traces back to a specific coil, not a generic grade average.
Incoming inspection
Raw material checked against the grade spec before production.
In-process testing
Core loss and induction sampled during rolling and annealing.
In-house final test
Finished coil tested against full grade spec before release.
Certificate issued
Mill test certificate generated per coil, shipped with the order.
FAQ
Certifications & quality
Which certifications does Zhongxin currently hold?
Zhongxin’s quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified, covering the manufacture and supply of our electrical steel products.
What does ISO 9001 certification actually mean for buyers?
It means our quality management system — document control, corrective action, process consistency — is independently audited on an annual basis, rather than being an internal claim. In practice you see it in a mill test certificate traceable to your specific coil.
Are you IATF 16949 certified?
Not currently — our quality system is ISO 9001 certified. If IATF 16949 is a requirement for your supplier qualification process, contact us to discuss your project.
Is your test lab CNAS-accredited?
Testing is performed in-house against grade specification on every coil; our lab does not currently hold CNAS accreditation. If third-party accredited testing is required for your order, let us know and we can discuss arranging it.
Do you provide a mill test certificate with every order?
Yes — every order ships with a mill test certificate covering core loss, induction, thickness and coating, traceable to the specific coil.
Can you provide the ISO 9001 certificate copy for our supplier qualification audit?
Yes — send a request through the downloads page or directly to our sales team and we’ll provide a current copy of the certificate.
Do you support on-site or remote supplier audits?
Yes — we can host supplier qualification audits for overseas buyers, both on-site and via video call. Contact us to schedule one.
What test standards do your published specs reference?
Core loss and induction figures are referenced to GB/T, JIS C, and equivalent EN test methods depending on the grade and standard system you’re specifying against.
How often is the ISO 9001 certification renewed or re-audited?
It’s subject to annual surveillance audits, with full recertification on a multi-year cycle — standard practice for the standard.
